Geneforge 2 would be the shortest game in the series, since you only have to go through the tunnel (about 1/4 of the way through the game), then you can go back to the Shaper council. Even if you can't get your initiative higher than a boss, you can use the same trick with a door, since the AI can't open them. You could also win fights by attacking an enemy, retreating around a corner, and restarting combat. This allows you to move at the faster combat movement speed, but without the AI characters getting to move at all. If you can keep your initiative higher than any AI characters on the map, you can initiate combat, move, then end and immediately restart combat, as long as you stop out of sight of any enemies and don't use up all your action points. Initiative = level / 2 (round down) + Luck / 2 (round down) + Dexterity + Quick Action x 2 If I recall correctly, the formula I worked out in Geneforge 2 is: I determined a while ago that the order characters act in combat is determined by a combination of stats, which I'll call initiative. Lag.com mentioned an interest in running these games, so I thought I'd start a thread and get some ideas down.
